Continue our success in 2016, this year Hong Ngoc General Hospital is honored to be the medical sponsor for Longbien Marathon – one of the biggest running events in Hanoi in 2017.
Longbien Marathon is annually hosted by SVCLB Run with the mission of awakening and promoting running habit, connecting the community, building a healthier society as well as raising fund for social development.
It is one of few marathons in Vietnam that follow the standard distance of 42.195km. The race allow athletes to run through Viet Hung Urban Area, Vinhomes Riverside urban area and main streets of Long Bien District, Hanoi. After the first successful event in 2016, Longbien Marathon 2017 attracts more than 1600 runners at various ages, working in different fields. The marathon includes 5km, 10km, Half Marathon and Full Marathon distances. For each registration, participant of the marathon donates an amount of money to the poor living in Long Bien District.
To support Longbien Marathon 2017, Hong Ngoc General Hospital partakes in the event in two roles: medical sponsor and player. Accordingly, Hong Ngoc General Hospital sets up 2 medical booths, one at the starting point and one in the middle of the race, with 2 doctors and 4 nurses to ensure the safety for runners. At the same time, a team of ambulances are assigned to follow the participants on the races, supporting them in emergency cases. In addition, 40 employees of Hong Ngoc General Hospital take part in the 10km, 21km, and 42km distances.
